Getting to Andros Island, Bahamas is a piece of cake!
We may be slightly off the beaten path, but that's a big part of our appeal. Even though we're not in the center of a big tourist hub (thankfully!) we're really quite accessible.
Getting here is just a quick one-hour flight from Fort Lauderdale or a 12-minute air hop from Nassau. If you're staying in Nassau on either end of your trip, you can even take a ferry to or from Andros, if you prefer.
There are a few different options to get to Andros: A commercial flight to Nassau then a short hop on one of the daily scheduled flights to Andros; Charter flight from Fort Lauderdale to Andros; Private Pilots can fly directly to Fresh Creek, Andros; or Get to Nassau, then take one of the scheduled ferries to Andros. Commercial flight to Nassau, then a quick hop over to Andros
There are several direct flights to Nassau International Airport (NAS) from many different cities. Once you find the flight that works best for your schedule and holiday, let our office know and we can provide you with the best solution to get you to Andros. Keep in mind that the scheduled flights to Andros are usually at 7:15 am and 3:45 pm, and try to make sure your flight arrives in Nassau giving you at least 2+ hours to ensure you make your connection. Remember to check our SPECIALS page as we often offer a BOGO (Buy One, Get One) deal on round trip airfare between Andros and Nassau. Travel Tip -There is a line for people traveling to the "Out Islands" or "Family Islands" (Andros) on the far left side of the Immigration hall. The line is much shorter there!

Charter Flights from Fort Lauderdale
If you land in Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) and want to fly direct to Andros, you can fly via Watermakers Air or Air Flight Charters to Andros Town Airport (ASD).
Small Hope has negotiated with Watermaker's Air to get special rates for our guests. Flights leave from Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE). They fly to Andros on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Phone: 954-771-0330.

Small Hope has great Special Offers for pilots and private pilot packages. Fresh Creek, Andros (Andros Town) is a great place for Private Pilots, being just 150 nautical miles from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Flying to Small Hope Bay Lodge, the Andros Town airport (MYAF) is a very friendly Port of Entry. Customs is open between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, 7 days a week. Overtime can be arranged by calling Customs & Immigration at (242) 368-2030.
There are no customs fees if you can show you are the owner of the plane in which you arrive (this does not apply to corporate jets or commercial planes). The runway is 4,200 feet, 9 & 27. Scheduled Ferry Service
There is a ferry between Potter's Cay, Nassau and Fresh Creek, Andros twice a week. The schedule is subject to change. Please see the Bahamas Ferries website for details and current schedule. Call for reservations: 1-242-323-2166. Approximate duration of trip is 2.5 hours.
