The Shark Observation Experience

Safe Shark Feeding Protocol

As our dive boat approaches the designated shark observation site, Caribbean reef sharks naturally begin gathering in anticipation. Our experienced dive guides lower a carefully prepared chum ball of frozen fish parts approximately 30 feet below the surface, creating a controlled feeding environment that attracts sharks while maintaining safe distances for divers.

Professional Diver Safety Protocol

All participants follow our established safety protocols during the shark encounter. Divers position themselves on the sandy bottom at a safe 50-foot depth, kneeling off to the side of the feeding area. This positioning provides optimal viewing opportunities while ensuring diver safety and minimizing stress on the sharks. Our guides maintain strict no-interaction policies beyond providing the supplemental feeding.

Shark Tooth Hunting Adventure

After the sharks complete their feeding and swim away, divers have the unique opportunity to search through the sandy bottom for naturally shed shark teeth. This exciting treasure hunt adds an extra element of discovery to the shark observation experience, allowing participants to take home a natural souvenir from their encounter.
