Relaxation

   Children are easily included... so bring them along. They're welcome visitors and will love our water sports, informality and our spaciousness. We have a special games room, and a separate dining hour for the 7-and-under crowd. During the evening our lounge belongs to the grown-ups. Parents can relax while children enjoy their own night time dining and play under complimentary care of our evening babysitters.

   Nobody puts on airs here -- in fact, hardly anyone even puts on shoes. Small Hope is home for us and for you as long as you are here.

   There are other pleasures too. In addition to a full diving program, fishing, and island tours, we have great places for snorkeling--and lots of equipment. We have windsurfers, kayaks, and a small Hobie Cat and sailboat -- all free for your use. We have a small fleet of bicycles that make it easy to explore the area. It's just a three-mile ride through nearby settlements to the Androsia Batik Factory where you can watch Androsians make the fabrics that colour our island life. You'll find clothes, fabrics, and souvenir items for sale at the Androsia Factory Outlet Store and at the Small Hope Bay Lodge boutique. But if this seems like too much activity, then drop into a hammock and give it a rest. "Hammocking" is a respectable activity around here!

   When it comes to night life... we create our own. It's a spontaneous matter. There's always music. Some nights we dance. Some nights we discuss. Inevitably we find the hidden talents that our guests have tucked away inside them. Bring along an instrument or maybe some underwater slides or video. Surrounding our buildings, we have lots of open space... all beach front... where you can run into friends without bumping into them. We feel about crowds the same way we feel about television, newspapers and bad news. Let nature be the quiet entertainer; sit and watch the stars or a lightning show out over the waters.
